GetNZB is a Usenet client designed to make downloading binary files easy. The Usenet is a great way to distribute and share files. But to access it, you need a Usenet provider. And although they are not expensive, sometimes you just want to test a service before you pay for it.
GetNZB is a great way to access the Usenet and download binaries without committing to a contract or using your credit card to pay for a subscription.
The application requires absolutely no setup. You can start download files as soon as you launch it and this is because GetNZB comes pre-configured with access to their own servers.
To start a search, you simply have to type the keywords that you want to search for and start the process. The app will search for NZB files in five different NZB search engines, and you can double-click on any of the results to start a download.
GetNZB can decompress ZIP and RAR files and it doesn't require you to have WinRAR or WinZIP installed. This is a great feature that you simply don't find in other similar apps. When you download a file that contains an .EXE file, you will be warned that .EXE files might contain viruses, which is very thoughtful of the developer.
In short, GetNZB is a great downloader, but it is also a great app to get access to the Usenet. The app doesn't offer endless access to the Usenet, but it doesn't require you to sign up for an account and it is free to try it.
